Bound Success Stories: Ticketing
Paperless, Cashless: How Sikeston Modernized Ticketing with Bound
"Doing what you've always done is a hindrance to progress. If you'll put a little work in on the front end, it's going to save you a ton of work on the back end."
Matt Johnson | Sikeston High School Athletic Director
Full adoption.
Before Bound, ticketing at Sikeston High School ran on cash and paper. Gate workers collected cash by hand. Reserve seating charts were maintained manually, on paper, the way they'd always been. Digital ticketing only entered the picture during playoffs, when MSHSAA required it. If a fan showed up with a card instead of cash, running the transaction meant improvising.
Bound replaced all of it. Sikeston now sells general admission, reserved football and basketball sections, and all-sports passes through one system. A meaningful share of tickets sell online before game day, and the rest move through the gate as a card swipe — which means shorter lines and no cash box to manage. Bound's calendar also feeds directly into the school's website, so events publish once.

The reporting changed the back-office work as much as the front gate. When the superintendent, central office, or Matt asks for numbers — attendance, revenue, the impact of a proposed price increase — the answer comes out of Bound instead of a stack of paper.
Getting every sport's schedule loaded while learning the system was time-consuming, and Todd Gordon at Bound did much of the initial setup and walked through problems by phone. Year two looked entirely different: schedules, pricing changes, reserve seating adjustments, and pass configuration all handled in-house, with Todd only needed to confirm a detail or two. Between tutorial videos and the website chat, most questions never require a call at all.
"You're not on your own. I had Todd on the phone, I had his email, I had him on chat, I had training videos."
Community resistance turned out to be smaller than expected. Between Apple Wallet, forwarded emails, screenshots, and the Bound app, most fans adapted quickly.

Bound has helped Sikeston...
Take Tickets Faster
By selling tickets and passes online ahead of time and processing the rest with a card swipe, Bound has shortened lines and removed cash handling from game night entirely.
Replace Paper Copies
By managing reserved seating, all-sports passes, and sales records in one system, Bound has eliminated the paper charts and hand-tracked cash that the job used to require.
Track Everything
By putting sales and attendance reporting in one place, Bound has made it straightforward to produce numbers for the superintendent, central office, or a pricing decision.
