Bound Success Stories: Concessions

New Process, All In One Place: How Woodward Granger (IA) Integrated Their Fragmented Concessions System with Bound

"Now with the white [Bound card] reader, it is so nice to be able to say “This is all I need.” This is all I need to make our event happen.”

Systematic integration.

At Woodward Granger, concessions used to be a tangle of devices and disconnected systems. Tablets, small readers, and cash drawers created headaches for staff, often with internet or Bluetooth issues at the worst possible moments. When Activities Director Shaylena Bell discovered Bound’s card reader and integrated concessions system, the process became dramatically simpler.

“It's all right there, you can take cash or card off of the same reader, [before] it was really messy and so now just having that ability to keep track of all of that all in one space for our concession site is really, really handy.”

The streamlined setup has been especially valuable during busy seasons, when multiple venues are in play.

The new system also helps track inventory in real time, eliminating the old routine of counting items by hand across sites. Shaylena's concessions manager can see what her inventory is looking like all in one place.

“This [new concessions system] allow[s] her just with one snapshot on a computer screen how much pop is left, how much candy’s left... just having that ability to keep track of all of that all in one space for our concession site is really, really handy.”

That integration translates directly into revenue. Even before football season began, Woodward Granger ran more than $8,500 through the Bound readers, entirely on card transactions.
