When Jay Mayes stepped into the role of Athletic Director at Southwest Christian, he inherited a tool that quickly became indispensable. Previously, the school relied on spreadsheets and shared Google Docs to manage reservations, a method that often led to chaos and double bookings.
“I was an athletic director before, but [we] used a spreadsheet… It became chaotic at that point. Coming here, there was a learning curve, but once you’re proficient it’s so much easier to use and it keeps you organized. We don’t have double bookings, we don’t have any issues.”
With Bound, everything from classrooms to conference rooms to athletic facilities now runs through a single scheduling system.

The change has been both local and conference-wide. Southwest Christian is already three years into using Bound, and Jay is eager to see neighboring schools come on board.
“I do foresee a day where our whole conference, the Wright County Conference, will move over to Bound. I think it’s a superior product to other products out there… If our whole conference had Bound, it would make [life] much easier for all our schools.”
For Jay, the difference isn’t just in features, but also in support. “Patty and Brian at Bound have been awesome… I refer to those guys as a dream team. There’s no question or issue that we can’t overcome in a short amount of time.”
