For Dan Pratt, Activities Director at Rockford High, the transition to Bound came at a critical moment. After 25 years using rSchool, his team faced mounting frustrations with Arbiter’s migration process.
“We started [with Bound] 10 days before our registration was going to open this year,” Dan recalls. “My assistant came in and said, ‘We can’t do this. We’ve got to make the switch.’”
What could have been a disaster turned into a smooth transition. “We’re only a few months in, and we feel like we have a pretty good handle on it and really love the product. It’s user-friendly, once you change the paradigm of what you’re used to. It’s been a learning curve, but it’s gone really well.”
For Dan, much of his program's success came as much from the support behind the platform as the platform itself.
“Brian walked us through it… He was always there for questions, even when we had weird questions. If he didn’t know, he’d find out. It’s been outstanding.” That level of personal, local support stood in sharp contrast to the struggles Dan experienced with other vendors.
For him, Bound isn’t just the present—it’s the future. “You Arbiter people, or rSchool folks, you are going to use a new system… and your decision really is: Do you think that group migrating is going to do a better job than Bound? I’ll tell you right now I don’t see it. The switch to Bound for us was outstanding, and I would recommend anybody do that.”
