Bound Success Stories: Sponsorships

Smarter Sponsorships: How Glenwood High (IA) Built a Sustainable Sponsorship Model with Bound

“I'm only reaching out to businesses one time a year to ask for money, telling them and showcasing [to] them what they get for their sponsorship with us."

A vibrant activities culture.

Glenwood High School, located just outside Omaha, doesn’t have access to huge corporate sponsors, but it does have an invested base of small local businesses.

Jeff Bissen, Athletic Director, built a bundled sponsorship model with just three tiers, and rolled everything into one annual ask. The booster club, the golf tournament, posters, and advertising are all rolled together through Bound.

“As of today we [have] about 30 sponsors as a whole... and 15 other sponsors that spend $300 a year just to support [our] activities poster.”

By incorporating Bound into the sponsorship structure, from in-app placements to digital tickets, he gives businesses year-round visibility while limiting outreach to a single, organized window.

“We try to showcase and tell them what they've got over the past year... show them examples... just to make sure they understand what exactly they're paying for and what they're getting back.”

Eliminate

No more frequent, piecemeal sponsor requests. “I'm only reaching out to businesses one time a year to ask for money,” Jeff says, saving time and strengthening relationships with his partners.

Demonstrate

Bound makes sponsor value easy to demonstrate. “We just try to showcase... the amount of followers that we have from a social media standpoint, the amount of people that are using the Bound platform... and the place for the advertisement.”

Streamline

By integrating Bound into their tiered model, Glenwood turned a fragmented system into one unified strategy. “We work the Bound sponsorship into those different levels... as well as all the other things we do from a booster club standpoint.”
