If your district runs both Bound and Arux, your scheduling spans two teams doing two distinct jobs. Athletics and Activities Directors build schedules in Bound. Community Education staff manage building and room reservations in Arux. Both systems do exactly what they're designed to do, but because activities scheduling and community education are naturally separate functions, the same event often needs to live in both places.

This integration closes that gap. When Bound and Arux are connected, your Activities team and your Community Ed team work from the same schedule, without either one changing how they operate.

One event, one entry

The Bound + Arux integration keeps activities scheduling and community education connected in real time. When events are created or updated in either system, that information syncs across platforms automatically, reducing duplicate data entry and giving Activities Directors, Facilities teams, Community Education staff, and community members an accurate picture of what's happening and where.

To support accurate synchronization, locations in Bound are mapped to the corresponding buildings, facilities, and rooms within Arux during implementation. That mapping is what ensures events land in the right place across both systems.

Flexible workflow options

We built the integration to be configurable, not prescriptive. Districts can choose the synchronization model that fits how their teams actually work:

Bound → Arux — Athletic events in Bound automatically create facility reservations in Arux. Best for districts where scheduling originates with the Activities Director and flows out to community education staff.

Arux → Bound — Community education bookings in Arux flow into Bound and appear on the master athletic/facilities calendar. Best for districts that want one-way sync from community education programs to the Bound athletic/facility calendar.

Two-Way — Events flow in both directions. Both teams work from a shared live view of the district's comprehensive event and facility schedule.

Whether events originate in Bound, Arux, or both, the integration can be configured to match how your district operates. Our teams at Bound and Arux will work with you throughout setup to make sure the configuration fits your workflows before anything goes live.

How approval still works

The integration automates the routing of events and bookings: it doesn't remove the oversight. Events synced from Bound enter Arux as pending facility requests, and your Community Ed staff reviews and approves them the same way they always have. If a game time changes in Bound, the updated request is automatically resubmitted for approval in Arux. Synced events are tagged in Arux so they're easy to identify at a glance.

Getting set up

Setup requires coordination between both platforms, but the path is straightforward.

On the Bound side: confirm that all district facilities are entered in Bound, then contact onboarding@gobound.com to specify your sync direction.

On the Arux side: contact help@arux.app with the subject line "Bound Integration" to begin technical activation. The most important step is location matching — Bound event locations are matched to the appropriate buildings, facilities, and rooms in Arux. Accurate location mapping is a critical part of implementation and ensures events synchronize correctly and appear in the proper facilities. From there, you'll review and confirm those mappings before selecting a start date from which events begin flowing.

For districts already entering events into both systems, our teams will help identify and resolve any duplicate entries before the sync goes live.

Who this is for

This integration is built for the two roles that have historically operated without shared visibility: the Activities Director managing athletic schedules in Bound, and the Community Ed Director running programs in Arux. Both teams get real-time access to the same data. Neither one has to change how they work to get it.
